WholistiLAMI 1kg (Lami Mix)

(2 customer reviews)

Laminitis is inflammation of the soft tissue structure that attaches the pedal bone of the foot to the hoof wall. It can become life-threatening if not addressed quickly.

A parked out stance, cresty neck, fat pockets in certain areas of the body and a digital pulse are tell-tale signs of laminitis, but the imbalance starts much earlier at a cellular level. At this point, it’s not even detectable in blood tests. This is why prevention is always key!

WholistiLAMI is for:

  • Horses who have a current Veterinary diagnosis of Laminitis
  • Preventative measures against Laminitis
  • Horses diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease (alongside the use of WholistiCUSH)
  • Horses who have suffered previous Laminitic episodes
  • Insulin resistant horses

Laminitis is a terrifying diagnosis for your horse to receive, but there is so much you can do to help your laminitic equine live a happy, healthy life. WholistiLAMI may help reduce inflammation and restore metabolic function to lessen your horse’s symptoms. It is designed to pair well with your veterinarian’s traditional treatments.

There are many other ways you can support your horse when it comes to Laminitis. Always seek advice from your vet, trimmer/farrier and equine nutritionist to ensure your horse receives a wholistic approach to their care plan. If you haven’t already, look at changing their immediate environment and if you’re able to do so, introduce a track system or a paddock paradise. Your horse will really thank you.

I have been using the WholistiLAMI blend on and off for a few of my horses for over a year now and have had great results. Most noticeably following my mares pedal osteitis surgery in late 2020. Surgery went well and her initial recovery was great. However a few months post surgery she started showing signs of lameness in that hoof which the vets could not diagnose and sent us home with a “wait and see approach”.

Knowing the success I had, had with the blend previously I started my mare on a loading dose and within a week there was a marked improvement in her soundness. She remained on this blend for approximately two months and since being off the blend has remained sound and happy.

I’ve also had great success using this blend for a tender footed pony during the winter months. While she has not been diagnosed with laminitis she does have thinner soles than most ponies and being barefoot with softer soles in winter she feels the gravel a little more than I’d like. This blend helps keep her and her feet happy!

My gelding is insulin resistant and foundered last year. Since then I have been trying to closely monitor his diet and restrict his access to grass as much as possible. However this time of year coming into spring and the warmer days now makes me nervous and I’ve been looking at alternatives to assist him as much as possible. I started him on the WholistiLAMI which he loves eating and so far he’s going well. I highly recommend giving The Wholistic Equestrian WholistiLAMI a go if you have a horse/pony that suffers from insulin resistance, laminitis or cushings. The customer service from Amanda has been so helpful and the herbs smell amazing and my boy now loves his feeds.
