- Supporting the lymphatic system, promoting faster elimination of swelling in tissues.
- Stimulating acupoints and unblocks meridian lines promoting calmness and eases emotional stress.
- Increasing the production of endorphins – proving a natural pain relief for your horse.
- Increasing serotonin levels within the body, the main hormone that acts as a mood stabiliser. This hormone has an impact on the entire body.
- Increasing circulation, allowing more blood supply to reach damaged tissues and faster removal of metabolic wastes.
- Stimulating the production of collagen, an essential protein that repairs damaged tissue, including aging skin and scars.

What is Photonic Light Therapy?
Photonic Light Therapy supports the entire body. It helps to heal joints, muscles, and damaged tissue. It promotes self-healing within the body, increases energy, and reduces pain and inflammation. It can be included as an effective part of your horse’s rehabilitation following injury or trauma.
Using a light wavelength of 660nm, the light penetrates the skin and stimulates tissue regeneration. Did you know that healthy cells vibrate around this wavelength!
I use photonic light therapy on acupressure points to promote healing through your horse’s body, providing them with a gentle and non – invasive effective therapy. This practice is also known as Photopuncture. In essence, it is ‘acupuncture without the needles’.

How I Work to Support Your Horse During a Therapy Session
I address your horse’s entire body, looking for sore spots from compensation or emotional tension and address the areas of concern.
During the first session, I spend time getting to know your horse, ensuring they are happy and confident in my space and with what I am doing. At this time, I will discuss your horse’s history with you, and only once they are settled and assured of my presence, will I commence a hands-on examination to assess any areas of concern.
I will have a continual conversation with your horse throughout the assessment, constantly listening to their responses, and working to understand where they need the most help. Sometimes we think they are sore in one spot, but the reality is that the responses are often stemming from an issue in a completely different area of their body.
Following on from the assessment, I use Photonic Light on acupressure points to restore balance to these areas of concern. I will always work at your horse’s pace, they get to communicate if they need a break. Photonic Light Therapy stimulates many responses in the body, and this can be overwhelming. The more we help them accept the treatment by listening to their needs, the more we can get done in future sessions.
Finally, at the end of your session, I will show you 1 or 2 acupressure points that you can stimulate with your fingers to maintain this work between sessions. The goal of my photonic light therapy sessions is to take a wholistic approach to your horse’s health, working to achieve wellness on all levels.
If you wish to receive follow-up sessions for your horse, I will design a tailored treatment plan for future sessions.

The Wholistic Equestrian Promise
Your horse is free to express their needs during sessions with me. There is no “good or bad” behaviour, only communication. I will listen to them and do everything I can to get as much done while honouring their boundaries, comfort, and needs. No horse is ever forced to stand still, continue when it is too much, or even accept treatment if they are not ready.
I believe in putting the horse first. I never use force, fear, or intimidation in my work, and always listens to what your equine has to say. I always enables and encourages your horse to move around as much as they need to during the session. They do not have to be perfectly still for the treatment to work.
